Product Details
Buttermilk Chilli is a traditional South Indian condiment made by marinating green chilies in a spiced buttermilk mixture and then sun-drying them until they become crisp. This process imparts a tangy, spicy, and slightly fermented flavor to the chilies, making them a delightful accompaniment to various dishes.
Ingredients & Preparation
Ingredients:
Fresh green chilies
Sour buttermilk
Salt
Asafoetida (hing)
Optional: Roasted fenugreek
Preparation Steps:
Slit the Chilies: Make a small slit in each green chili.
Prepare the Marinade: Mix sour buttermilk with salt, asafoetida, and roasted fenugreek powder.
Marinate the Chilies: Soak the slit chilies in the buttermilk mixture overnight.
